The Birth of “श्री दक्षिणम्”: A South Indian Restaurant in Indore and Beyond In 2021, the founders set out on a trip to Sri Lanka that ended up being unsuccessful. After a cancelled flight, they decided to stay in Bengaluru and explore the southern culture. Despite eating the same food every day for over a week, the founders fell in love with the south Indian cuisine and culture. They were determined to bring the same taste and culture to their hometown of Indore. To achieve this, they recruited the best chefs from southern India and opened up a restaurant, “श्री दक्षिणम्” named after the region that inspired them. Using only authentic spices from southern India, they were able to recreate the exact taste they experienced during their stay. Now, “श्री दक्षिणम्” is expanding beyond just a restaurant. To continue providing top-notch service, the team has launched their own brand of 100% organic and unprocessed honey, available in their outlets. They have plans to introduce a range of spices and wafers in the near future, furthering their vision to deliver exceptional consumer goods.
